Abstract: Kerygma is a message causing many different effects. In the theology of Pope Francis, the emphasis falls primarily on the ecclesiastical consequences of proclaiming the kerygma. It is a creative, renewing and salvation message. God is the one, who reveals himself during this proclamation, who gives life to the new creation, sustains it, and takes care of its fulfillment. The effects of the kerygma mentioned by the Pope can be presented in an introductory key. The Kerygma renews and builds the Church, introducing into personal and harmonious relationships with all persons of the Holy Trinity, allows to discover the meaning of blessing and mission, as well as helps to understand and accept the Church’s teaching. Therefore, according to Francis, the kerygma is a message that must be at the center of the evangelizing activity and life of the Church.
