Abstract: The effect of γ-irradiation (60Co) in the dose range from 2 to 50 Gy on the morphological (length of the sprout, length of the main root) and biochemical parameters (the content of photosynthetic pigments – chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, carotenoids) of sprouts of irradiated seeds of common barley variety Vityaz was studied.
