Abstract: The launching of the World Marxist Review (WMR) – a new Marxist quarterly journal – is a promising step in defending and developing Marxism against the current on slaught of capitalist barbarism. In an era marked by increased labour exploitation and poverty, by the upsurge of the far-right in the West and by the multiplication of imperialist conflicts and war, Marxism remains always the guiding beacon that can rally the forces of labour in opposing capitalist barbarism.
