Self-absorption correction of NEXAFS spectra for intermediate sample thicknesses applied to organo-sulfur model compounds

Abstract: We present a self-absorption correction for NEXAFS which is valid for any sample thickness. The corrected spectrum is recovered in a forward calculation by fitting a model spectrum to experimental data of samples with ideally different thicknesses.
