Abstract: The study examined the effectiveness of technology training for enhancing skills of university teachers and to identify the challenges and opportunities for technology integration in pedagogy. It has never been an easy task for teachers to use technology effectively in pedagogy without receiving technology based professional development opportunities, besides there are several other challenges that hinder teachers to integrate technology in pedagogy. This qualitative study collected data by conducting semi structured interviews from fourteen teaching assistants. The data was analyzed thematically. The study recommends that universities develop policies to provide comprehensive technology training to enhance teachers' skills and ensure the necessary resources are available to promote effective technology integration in teaching and learning. Overall, the findings indicate that while technology training can boost teachers' capabilities, universities must address significant infrastructural and institutional challenges to enable successful technology integration in pedagogy.
