The use of discussion in the development of emotional intelligence of students

Abstract: A brief excursion into the history of the study of the problem of emotional intelligence (hereinafter – EI) by domestic and foreign researchers is carried out; the essence of EI is clarified, its content and components are disclosed; the application of discussion in the development of EI in adult learners is described. The necessity of relaying the practice of using active teaching methods to optimize the educational process at all levels of education is substantiated. The principles, parameters, and criteria of effective discussion in additional professional education are described.
