Stereotactic radiosurgery for meningioma
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a validated treatment option for intracranial meningioma as an upfront, adjuvant, or salvage modality. SRS was initially used as an alternative treatment for patients with unfavorable surgical risks or high-risk tumors. However, evidence from large cohort and long-term follow-up studies has consolidated the efficacy and long-term durability of SRS in the treatment of meningioma. Here, we review the current indications and patient outcomes following SRS.
