Abstract: The objective of this research was to evaluate the pedagogical approaches used in the teaching-learning process related to Heritage Education. A bibliometric study was carried out using the Google Scholar search indexer. We sought research that addressed Heritage Education in some way. The keywords used were: (1) “pedagogical practices” and (2) “heritage education” and (3) “teaching strategy” between the years 2010 and 2022. In total, 28 studies were selected. For the bibliometric study, the following were identified: name of the authors; year of publication; type of search; knowledge area; institution and pedagogical practices that were adopted. A priori, the low flow of research that presents pedagogical practices stands out, however, those used favored the teaching and learning process, making it more effective and satisfactory for both teachers and students. The history area was the most representative. Among the types of research, dissertations stood out in quantity. In most studies, it was possible to verify that heritage was seen as a means, and the main agents in the process were the subjects and their experiences, contributing to the school environment and beyond the school in the redefinition of cultural heritage.
