Abstract: We discuss possible structure of the gas flow between the components of low-mass binaries which manifest themselves as polars. If a strong magnetic field of the white dwarf prevents material from flowing through the L1 point, the mass-exchange between the system components can be realized through magnetic channels formed due to reconnection of the field lines of the white dwarf and the red dwarf magnetic fields. We estimate the gas density in the magnetic channels and the mass transfer rate between the system components within this scenario.
