Abstract: Latest news on safety and health at work (Part 2): Innovation as a driver for the healthcare industry It is obvious that the major challenges in the healthcare sector cannot be overcome without digital innovations. What this sector needs are fresh ideas and new approaches. Of course, there must also be continuous progress in the traditional areas. However, digitalization opens up completely new possibilities for developing, testing and rejecting ideas quickly and costeffectively, or even generating a marketable product from them. What is the current situation in the healthcare sector? What does it need? And how can innovation work?
