Abstract: The impressive adventure of founding from scratch -in the Catalysis Section of the Rocasolano Institute of Chemistry-Physics at CSIC- a research group working on biocatalysis with enzymes is described. Prior to this, the following six antecedents are discussed: A1 Los Pedroches. A2 Pozoblanco. A3 My roots. A4 Catalysts. A5 My training. A6 Love has arrived.
