Tumor Hyperprogression in Squamous Cell Carcinomas of Head and Neck after Immunotherapy: Our Perspective

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC) is the sixth most common cancer worldwide. Although there have been some advances in multimodality therapy, the overall 5-year survival rate remains poor approximately at 40%-50%. Currently, Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor (ICI) based Immunotherapies are being evaluated as an alternate treatment modality for recurrent/metastatic HNSCCs in clinical trials.
