From periphery to center stage: 50 years of advancements in innate immunity
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Our Review provides a broad overview of the field of innate immunity. In Table 1, "Families of pathogen recognition receptors," we, the authors, missed some key papers on the NLR family of apoptosis inhibitory proteins (NAIPs), which are well-characterized receptors that lead to the formation of inflammasomes when activated by bacterial components. For completeness, we have updated Table 1 to include this information and the corresponding references; the added table rows and references are presented below. Please note that this article was also previously corrected to add omitted references to Table 1.We have also updated Figure 2 to reflect that the correct ligand for TLR3 is dsRNA and to correct two spelling errors.
