Abstract: The use of nanomaterials in agribusiness has fundamentally altered the way that agriculture is now done. The ability to generate resistance to disease and enhanced performance avoiding accruing toxic elements is among the rising issues in the present agro-ecosystem. Most commonly applied agrochemicals have a number of negative impacts on plants and the ecosystem. Sustainable agricultural techniques utilizing nanotechnology may promote infection resistance and increase crop output. The use of nanomaterials in agriculture has several advantages, including a reduction in environmental contaminants, quick illness detection, straightforward processing, reduced side effects, and cost-effectiveness. Due to its reproducibility, biodegradability, and potent effectiveness against a variety of plant harmful microbes, ecofriendly nanomaterials manufacturing has attracted particular attention. Nanoparticles, their production and analysis, as well as the processes involved in their bioaccumulation in crops, are being used to help crops become more disease-tolerant. This review also sheds light on the molecular methods for employing nanomaterials to treat diseases and the use of nanosensors.
