Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to introduce a disaster preparedness game using Minecraft, designed to allow children aged 6 to 8 years to simulate their ideal shelter. Implemented at an elementary school in Edogawa Ward, the game was not only enjoyable for the students but also enabled them to explore and simulate various aspects necessary for managing a shelter. The findings suggest that the game enhances children’s engagement and facilitates the simulation of their ideas through Minecraft. Furthermore, it highlights the potential for sharing learned content with parents and friends, thereby extending the educational impact beyond the classroom.
