Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This Research is an investigation report of “Gou Gura” in Kanbara which was designated as cultural property of the Tsumagoi village in 2007. “Gou Gura” was a storehouse where rice was stockpiled in the village during the Edo period. Kambara’s “Gou Gura” is a wooden “Seirou” construction mud-plastered board. This “Seirou” construction was appropriately completed using different height components. It was considered to be a method of assembly that made effective use of the members by assembling them from the bottom. And achieving consistent joint processing was difficult, but this is considered acceptable because of the assumption of a mud plaster finish.
