Development of a Course Program Linking Architectural Design Education and Architectural Environmental Studies Through Bim Utilization
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: In practical architectural design, the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become prevailing in recent years, encouraging the wider use of environmental design methods that employ simulation functions. Meanwhile, universities do not provide architectural students with environmental design education that integrates these techniques into the architectural design process, causing a gap between actual practices and university education. In this study, a new program for a BIM-based environmental architectural design class was created and introduced to junior-year students at an architecture-related university to assess the results.
