A Housing Concept Revealed by the Actual Operation of Migration Promotion Housing Toward De-urbanization
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Migration Promotion Housing (MPH) is a temporary residence built and renovated to support de-urban migration. In accepting prospective migrants over the medium-term, the houses encourage them to build relationships with local residents to reduce mismatches in their search for a new home or job in the community. In contrast to the quantitative supply of housing units, this approach can be said to promote migration through qualitative considerations. The purpose of this study is to clarify the concept of MPH through the investigation of the actual situation by interviews and the consideration of the configuration of architectural elements.
