Dynamic and Static Analysis of Nano Alumina-Polypropylene Granules Concrete Structures in ETABS.

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This research investigates the structural behavior of high-rise buildings using a modified concrete mix containing 1% nano alumina and 10% polypropylene granules, termed M2 concrete.Experimental tests were conducted to determine its compressive strength, tensile strength, and density. The study aims to evaluate the seismic performance of this innovative concrete mix under wind and seismic loads using ETABS software for both static and response spectrum analysis.Key structural responses, such as story shear, displacement, drift, stiffness, and overturning moments, were examined.Pushover analysis assessed the nonlinear behavior, focusing on base shear, displacement, and energy dissipation. The M2 concrete's enhanced properties contribute to improved ductility, stiffness, and energy absorption, crucial for seismic resilience. Results indicate that M2 concrete improves structural performance by enhancing stability, energy dissipation, and deformation capacity, making it a suitable material for seismic-prone areas.
