Abstract: This work investigates the possibility of using a monolayer of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) for quantum computing through density functional theory (DFT) and the pseudopotential method. The creation of an electronic qubit in the monolayer occurs upon the formation of a sulfur vacancy.
