Quantum Chemical Modeling of the Surface Modification of an “armchair” Carbon Nanotube With Cobalt Oxide

Abstract: In this work quantum chemical modeling of the process of attachment of cobalt oxide Co3O4 to the surface of a carbon nanotube (CNT) of the “armchair” type in three different adsorption positions was carried out. The effect of such modification on the electronic properties of the nanostructure under consideration is investigated.
