Abstract: Summary of the 8th International Conference on Pumps and Fans 1. Background To further enhance domestic and international cooperation and exchange, better understand research hotspots, stimulate scientific research vitality, and build a high-level academic exchange platform, Yangzhou University and Tsinghua University jointly hosted the 8th International Conference on Pumps and Fans (ICPF) in Yangzhou, China, from 12th to 15th April 2024. This conference traces its origins to the first International Conference on Pumps and Fans held at Tsinghua University in 1992, with subsequent conferences held at Tsinghua University in 1995, 1998, and 2002; at Zhejiang University in 2010; at Tsinghua University again in 2013; and at Zhejiang University again in 2015. Participation is encouraged from individuals involved in all facets of fluid machinery.
