Results of the complex treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders in patients with malocclusion

Abstract: Temporomandibular joint disorders is an actual problem of modern dentistry. This study is aimed to improve the effectiveness of TMJ disorders treatment in patients with malocclusion using splint, kinesio- and botulinum therapy. The outcome evaluation of the treatment was after a month, a year and 2 years. After a month of the treatment masticatory muscles tone has already declined. It is recommended to use splint, kinesio- and botulinum therapy as additional treatment method to relieve the symptoms of disorders.
