Abstract: Although the COVID-19 pandemic had many deleterious effects, a positive aspect was that it forced us to ponder how we would approach a future epidemic or pandemic. Here, a set of predictions relevant to pandemic preparedness are discussed, based on our experience with the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
