Types of Phase Fluctuations of Digital Transmission Systems

Abstract: It is shown that the main sources of phase fluctuations in digital transmission systems are regenerators, multiplexers and transmission lines. Pulse noise and crosstalk cause phase fluctuations consisting mainly of high-frequency components.
