Abstract: We proposed and trained a feedforward neural network (multilayer perceptron) that can be used for the stability control of a semiconductor laser. The developed network was trained to approximate a proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controller. Hyperparameters tuning allowed to achieve mean square error.
