Effect of ruthenium microadditives on the structure and corrosion resistance of titanium α-, pseudo-α-alloys

Abstract: The paper examines electrochemical studies of forgings made of α, pseudo-α titanium alloys of industrial compositions and with the addition of ruthenium. Comparative dependences of the current density on time were constructed at various potentials in 3.5% NaCl for titanium alloys of industrial composition and with the addition of ruthenium. The breakdown potential of the titanium alloys under study was determined. Microstructural studies of titanium alloys of various compositions were carried out after determining the breakdown potential.
