Abstract: Today, sunflower is the main oilseed crop in Ukraine, and its cultivation area is constantly growing due to the high demand for seeds for the processing industry. However, the increase in production volumes is possible not only due to the expansion of the area, but also due to the introduction of the latest hybrids with high productivity potential and improved cultivation technology. One of the key factors affecting the yield of sunflower hybrids is the choice of the optimal sowing date. Sowing dates determine the conditions for plant growth and development, as well as affect the quality and quantity of both individual plants and all crops in general.
