Abstract: This study explores the transformative impact of the Metaverse from an Islamic perspective, focusing on how virtual environments challenge and reshape social, economic, and religious dimensions of life. The Metaverse, a rapidly evolving digital space, presents both opportunities and ethical challenges for Muslims as it alters traditional practices of community, worship, and education. This research highlights how Islamic values, particularly those grounded in Maqasid al-Shariah, can be integrated into the Metaverse to ensure that technological advancements align with religious principles. Moreover, it also presents challenges related to virtual identity, data privacy, and governance in digital spaces. This study finds an urgent need to develop comprehensive Shariah-based guidelines to regulate activities in the Metaverse, particularly in financial transactions, social interactions, and entertainment. In conclusion, this study proposes an Islamic ethical framework for the Metaverse that balances technological innovation with religious principles, while emphasizing the importance of digital literacy within the Muslim community.
