Abstract: Prof. Paul Rutayisire died on 10 December 2023. Republishing an interview on the Genocide aginst the Tutsi given in 2004 to Urunana, the journal of the major seminarians of Nyakibanda (Butare), is intended as both a tribute and an invitation to discover his invaluable work for anyone wishing to understand the history of Rwanda, the role of Christianisation and the repercussions of the Genocide againts the Tutsi on Rwandan society.
