His accomplishments include instituting the BAMS curriculum, launching a postgraduate course in Kayachikitsa at Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, and advancing the institutional presence of Unani and Ayurveda education. Dr. Hakim was also a strong advocate for equal professional recognition for traditional medicine practitioners within Jammu and Kashmir, successfully working to achieve parity with allopathic systems. His legacy, carried forward by his family’s continued involvement in traditional medicine, remains a source of inspiration, contributing to the integration and broader acceptance of Ayurveda and Unani practices within India’s healthcare framework.
