Study of the Pumps' Performance for Sanitary Distribution: Non-linear Programming Modeling Based on Maintenance Indicators
Year: 2024
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Maintenance indicators in hydraulic equipment can be predicted by creating predictive mathematical models. The objective of this study is to provide a prediction model for MTBF and MTTTR related to corrective maintenance occurring at a Water Treatment Plant in the Alto Agreste region of Pernambuco. This study uses Non-Linear Programming (NLP) to create the model and estimate the average time between stops and maintenance costs.A statistical analysis is carried out for correlation between variables in the process to study the indicators. The preliminary results showed effectiveness in modeling the indicators, offering values consistent with those found for MTTR and MTBF in the research field. The MTTR showed a high rate of maintenance hours, while the MTBF had low hours of availability for operation. However, for a more comprehensive and accurate analysis, it is necessary to consider other variables that influence the process. The research seeks to contribute significantly to the optimization of maintenance processes, offering valuable information for efficient production management and continuous improvement in product quality.
