Codes of Ethics and their Place in the New Security Environment as an Important Part of Human Resource Management

Abstract: The research problem was determined whether the new socio-economic and security environment needs a code of ethics. The values of the code of ethics of a military professional were analyzed by students of the University of Defence of the Czech Republic and military professionals from practice in the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. The research included quantitative and qualitative research. The results show that the existence of a code of ethics is becoming unprecedentedly important in the new security environment and furthermore that it should be specified according to the specific focus of the workplace, type of forces. The hypothesis confirmed that the importance of moral values is increasing in the military education system.
