Dynamic, Real-Time Accessibility Adjustments in AdTech: AI-Driven Personalized Ad Content Creation for Users with Disabilities
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The growing reliance on digital advertising across platforms necessitates inclusive design, especially for users with disabilities. This paper explores the concept of dynamic, real-time accessibility adjustments for advertisements, focusing on user-specific assistive technologies and device settings.Central to this research is the introduction of a 360-degree data-driven personalized accessibility preference model that uses AI to autogenerate multiple ad versions tailored to different accessibility needs. These include AI-generated ad visuals for individuals with color blindness, high-contrast versions, simplified designs for cognitive disabilities, and audioadapted content.By integrating AI into the AdTech ecosystem, advertisers can not only ensure compliance with accessibility standards but also foster inclusivity, allowing users to experience ads in a way that best suits their needs. This paper contributes to the AdTech domain by proposing a framework for real-time accessibility and offering insights into how AI-driven ad personalization can revolutionize inclusive advertising.• Multimodal Delivery: Combining video, audio, and text elements to create flexible ad experiences for different types of disabilities. VI. CASE STUDY: AI-DRIVEN AD FOR COGNITIVE DISABILITIESTo demonstrate the framework's potential, consider an example where an AI engine tailors an interactive ad for a user with a cognitive disability. The AI identifies the need for simplified instructions, low-complexity visuals, and clear step-by-step guidance.A typical interactive ad for a product purchase may involve complex animations and detailed descriptions, but the AI reduces this to clear text, bold headings, and static images that require minimal cognitive effort to comprehend. VII. EVALUATION AND TESTINGAutomated QA testing frameworks, integrated with accessibility guidelines (like WCAG), are critical to ensuring that dynamically generated ads meet the standards for all users.Testing should include:• Screen reader compatibility.
