Abstract: This article deals with different aspects relating to the crime of human trafficking in Poland. The author describes relevant national and international instruments and presents the most important challenges relating to combating human trafficking. The article attempts to answer the question about the effectiveness of existing regulations, pointing to the areas that require changes – in regards to legislation and in the practice of applying existing norms.
