Abstract: Post independence, India has made significant advancements in healthcare and technology. However, it remains concerning that malnutrition continues to affect approximately 14.3 percent of the population. This issue, particularly prevalent among young children, poses a significant challenge to both national and global public health efforts[1]. In fact, malnutrition is the primary cause of morbidity among children, contributing to nearly half of all child deaths. Asia bears the brunt of this crisis, with 52 percent of the malnourished population, while Africa also faces a substantial burden, accounting for 43 percent[2,3].
