Abstract: The aim of the presented article is to present the social and theatrical experiment “Live Torpedoes” carried out in 2019 as part of the Social Art Studio at the University of Białystok. This project was designed as a sociological study using qualitative research methodology (participant observation and in-depth interviews with participants), which included, among others, workshops aimed at developing the emotional competences of its participants. As part of the article, I wonder whether participatory theater is a good place to develop this type of skills, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of such an undertaking.
