Abstract: The article presents the linguistic creation of a family reconstructed on the basis of the works of Polish and foreign students from families with migration experience studying in Polish schools in Poland and abroad. In the collected corpus of over 200 works, the young authors created, apart from parents, many other family members, creating images of small and large families functioning in everyday life and during holidays. When creating an image of a family, the young authors used primarily the lexical resources of general Polish, and the analyzed material reflects the joy that comes with writing about family.
