Abstract: The One Health concept emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, advocating for a comprehensive and collaborative approach. Since its inception, various global interventions have addressed complex health challenges such as epidemics and pandemics. In developed countries, numerous collaborative platforms have been established, adopting international strategies to tackle both local and global health issues. Current challenges in One Health include endemic and emerging zoonotic diseases, food safety and security, antimicrobial resistance, and wildlife diseases. Developing new bioanalytical techniques and methods based on biosensors, ‘omics’ approaches, and high-throughput analytical techniques that are rapid, low-cost, and capable of providing robust quantitative results is crucial.
