Analysis and testing of temperature adaptability of large-scale body-mounted radiator

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This article addresses the issue of thermal stress release of the large-size body-mounted radiator of the telescope on the Chinese space station under a temperature difference of 80℃, and proposes a floating combined stress release support mechanism. Firstly, based on factors such as the size of the radiator and thermal stress release, a “orthogonal + parallel” layout design is adopted for the radiator stress release support mechanism. Then, through the layout design, the specific design of the stress release support mechanism’s fixed support, line-degree-of-freedom release mechanism, and plane-degree-of-freedom release mechanism is carried out, and the deformation of the radiator panel is calculated to be 2.51mm using the theory of elasticity, thereby designing the movement distance of the support mechanism to be 5mm. Finally, the effectiveness of the design scheme is verified through simulation analysis and experiments. The simulation results show that the panel deformation is 2.75, with an error of 8% compared to the theoretical calculation result. The experimental results show that the panel deformation is 0.85mm, which differs by 17.48% from the simulation analysis result of 1.03mm under a temperature difference of 30℃. The above errors are all within a reasonable range, meeting the design requirements.
