Abstract: Prostate cancer (PC) is the most common malignancy in men in the US and Europe [ 1 ] and an estimated 30–50% of patients will develop biochemical recurrence (BCR) after the initial curative therapy. Imaging is crucial to guide treatment, both at initial presentation and at BCR. Within the last decade, PSMA (prostate-specific membrane antigen) targeting positron emission tomography (PET) has become the mainstay for localizing recurrent disease given its superior sensitivity compared to conventional imaging modalities [ 2 , 3 , 4 ].
