Abstract: Ethyl 4-aryl-2-oxo-2,3,4,10-tetrahydrobenzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine-3-carboxylates were prepared by three-component one-pot condensation of diethylmalonate, aromatic aldehyde, 2-aminobenzimidazole in ethanol in the presence of piperidine. The structure of the obtained compounds was determined by 1H, 13С NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
