Abstract: The developmental stages (larva, pupa) of Anthonomus brunnipennis are fully described for the first time. Despite great similarities of the adults of A. brunnipennis and A. rubi the differences between immature stages of both species could be demonstrated. Two different habitats of A. brunnipennis in Germany are described, and host plant data are critically reviewed. The only well-documented host plant of A. brunnipennis is Potentilla erecta.
