The angular distribution of characteristic parameters in eccentric magnetically insulated transmission lines
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: In pulse power modules designed with linear transformer driver (LTD) and magnetically insulated inductive voltage adder (MIVA) technologies, the phenomenon of electrode eccentricity in long-distance magnetically insulated transmission lines (MITLs) cannot be overlooked due to its impact on pulse power transmission. The paper conducts a theoretical analysis of the distribution of electromagnetic fields, vacuum impedance, and characteristic parameters such as self-limited flow in eccentric MITLs with respect to the angular direction. Additionally, it constructs an eccentric MITL model to validate the theoretical findings.
