Abstract: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 represents a pivotal reform in India's educational landscape, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility for marginalized communities, including the Kharia tribe. This research explores the policy's impact on the empowerment of the Kharia tribe by examining enhancements in educational opportunities and the preservation of cultural heritage.Employing a qualitative survey approach, the study reveals positive developments such as increased literacy rates and higher education participation within the tribe. However, challenges persist, notably in the areas of resource allocation, language barriers, and the need for culturally sensitive curricula. The study concludes by recommending further longitudinal research to evaluate the long-term effects of NEP 2020 and proposes strategies to improve the policy's implementation. The findings offer valuable insights into educational reforms aimed at empowering indigenous communities and provide a framework for inclusive education that can be applied in similar contexts globally.
