Abstract: Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) has been recommended by Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International (PSOGI) and several other academic organizations as the treatment of choice for selected patients with gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis (GCPM). This review updates the recent progress in CRS+HIPEC for GCPM, with particular focus on the potential curing effects of this approach for subclinical GCPM patients.
