Abstract: This study examines the problems within current university English reading courses and proposes the integration of ideological and political education into these classrooms. By employing a specific article as a case study, the research analyzes the strategies for incorporating ideological and political content into a blended case-based English reading curriculum and evaluates their effectiveness in enhancing comprehensive education. Several challenges have been identified through classroom observations and post-class investigations, which will be discussed in detail in the study.
