Abstract: • Hypothyroidism, a “cold” syndrome in TCM, is treated with “hot” medicinal properties. • FTHPH against hypothyroidism were evaluated. • FTHPH regulates hypothalamic lipid metabolism to reduce nutritional deficiencies. • The biological effects of FTHPH can be attributed to its hot properties.
