Comparative Efficacy of Etmaben and Empagliflozin in Mono- and Combined Therapy of Experimental Chronic Heart Failure
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The cardiotropic activity of etmaben, a malonic acid derivative, has been confirmed by a number of studies. The possibility of using empagliflozin in chronic heart failure has been proven in a number of preclinical and clinical studies. In this study, the efficacy of the drugs in monotherapy and combined use regimens is compared using a model of experimental chronic heart failure in rats. The most effective treatment regimen was found to be etmaben; its combination with empagliflozin led to a decrease in effectiveness, regardless of which of these drugs was the starting drug.
