Abstract: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous and multisystem disease with multiple phenotypes and a progressive increase in morbidity and mortality. This article provides a review of the current data on the identification, characterization, and features of therapy for the most common phenotypes of the disease. A literature review was conducted using medical resources such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and UpToDate, addressing issues related to phenotyping in COPD.
